Although in essence a service project, the Community Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service Project engaged in work with systems and policies, for in the absence of policy, advocacy and systemic work, the child rights and protection element, so critical to child mental health, would be lost. Thus, aside from services and capacity building the Project has participated in state Juvenile Justice rule drafting processes, review of POCSO Act and assisting the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights on issues relating to child sexual abuse and juvenile justice.
